Description
Tarsul is two ingredients: organic cream of tartar and organic MSM sulfur, milled to a fine white powder that dissolves in cold water. It tastes mildly tart, a little like lemonade without the sugar. There are no fillers, no binders, no flow agents and no proprietary blend — what is in the bottle is what is on the label.
We have been making and shipping it ourselves since 2010, mostly to people who came looking for it because a parent or grandparent used sulfur and cream of tartar and they wanted to find it again.
The 150 gram bottle is where most people start. At one level teaspoon a day it lasts about a month, which is long enough to know whether you want to keep going without committing to a larger bottle.

Before you order — potassium and prescriptions
Cream of tartar is a concentrated source of potassium. For most people that is unremarkable, but a few common prescriptions change how much potassium your body holds on to.
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Tarsul if you have reduced kidney function, or if you take a potassium-sparing diuretic (spironolactone, triamterene, amiloride), an ACE inhibitor (lisinopril, enalapril, ramipril), an ARB (losartan, valsartan, irbesartan), another potassium supplement or a salt substitute, or regular NSAIDs.
Per the label: pregnant or nursing women, diabetics, people who are hypoglycemic, and anyone with a known medical condition or taking medication should consult their health care provider. Keep out of reach of children.
More detail on the ingredient itself is on our cream of tartar page, and full serving and precaution information is on our dosage and precautions page. Always follow the label on the bottle you receive.
